In view of the expansion of Kovid, it has been decided to organize the 2021 Keralotsavam entirely on the online platform. Therefore, only art competitions are organized as part of the Keralotsavam. Panchayat level block level competitions are excluded. Candidates can compete directly in the districts. Online competitions, including registration and video uploading, are conducted through a specially designed web application.Competitors and clubs can register on this online application from November 25 to December 12. Competitors will be given a register number and code number at the time of completion of registration. The next step is to upload the recorded videos of the matches using this register number.
When recording videos, contestants must clearly display the code numbers they received. The first place winners in the district level competition will get another day to upload the video in the state level competition. Competitive videos are screened by a panel of experts at the primary level and then 5 entries from one category to the next (district level) on a block-panchayat basis. Following the judging at that level, the list of those who have secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position at the district level is published on the website. The first place winners at the district level will have to upload the video of their competition item once again for the state competition. If for any reason the video is not uploaded they will not be able to participate in the state level competition. The uploaded videos are judged at the state level and the winners are decided. Prize money and certificates are given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at the district and state level. The results of the competition will be published on the website of the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board and on the Keralotsavam web application.
